Anthony Portuesi: Bio

anthony AboutAnthony Portuesi is a Senior Sales Rep and Management Intern at Johnson & Johnson. Over the past 6 years Anthony has balanced completing J&J’s Management Development Program, with consistent performance in the pharmaceutical and medical device arena. Within sales Anthony has received the Rookie of the Year Award, Regional Excellence Award, Representative of the Cycle Award, and the Representative of the Year Award. Most notably Anthony earned the Johnson & Johnson Standard of Leadership Award for his contributions on an emerging customer segmentation initiative within pharmaceuticals.

Anthony started his J&J career in marketing, working on the launch of an internal sales portal within one of the company’s medical device franchises. Prior to joining J&J, he worked as a Student Brand Manager for Red Bull Energy Drink and in sales for Val-Pak Direct Marketing.

Through serving on the National Council of Pi Sigma Epsilon, (National Professional Fraternity in Marketing, Sales Management, and Selling), Anthony remains active in developing future leaders as an award judge for the organization’s national convention, as well as a sales coach and judge of the PSE Pro-Am Sell-A-Thon.

Anthony is the author of Driven Leaders (drivenleaders.com), a blog focused on emerging leadership and is also a contributing writer to the Gen-Y career site Brazen Careerist. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Miami University with a focus on Marketing and Entrepreneurship.
